Meet The Little Flying Witch

Unlike many of the spirit companions who come through Shakti's Curios, this little witch has been part of my own personal collection for well over a decade.

I found her while visiting a small metaphysical shop during the years I lived in Houston, Texas. From the very beginning, she carried an unmistakably calm and comforting presence.

Rather than feeling active or demanding, she has always reminded me of a quiet guardian—content to gently watch over a home without asking for attention.

She has remained a peaceful part of our family for many years.

As our household has grown wonderfully full of children, pets, and many spirit companions, another companion in our collection has developed the amusing habit of occasionally knocking her from her display place.

Over time this resulted in a very small chip beneath her nose. While the damage is minor and difficult to notice when displayed, it ultimately made me feel she may simply be ready for a quieter home where she can once again peacefully watch over the space around her.

She measures approximately 12 inches from the tip of her hat to the end of her broomstick and hangs gracefully from an attached clear monofilament line, creating the beautiful illusion that she is flying through the air.

She still retains her original manufacturer's tags identifying her as a Collectible Porcelain Witch by Show-Stoppers, Inc., Lakewood, New Jersey. She was manufactured in Thailand and is believed to date to the early 1990s.

Throughout the many years she has shared our home, I have consistently experienced her as carrying a gentle, protective, magical presence.

Rather than seeking communication, she feels content simply existing within a space, quietly offering a comforting and peaceful energy.

She has never felt overwhelming or intrusive.
